AOL Brooklyn Boomer’s Get-together - 10/11/98...
Here’s the goods on our newest Coney Island
adventure. We were supposed to do Gargiulo’s, but for some strange reason,
one of us was unable to be served. Undaunted we validated our cars
in their lot anyway and headed over to Carolina, which is conveniently
located around the corner. We shared a nice bottle of wine, a delicious
meal and some very warm and enlightening conversation.
This left pic is the outside of Gargiulo’s
Restaurant. Unfortunately, this is as close as we got.
The owners claimed that Kim’s shorts were
a “No-No”.
I guess they figured if the diners got a
gander at his legs, they’d lose their appetites!
Not to worry though, Carolina was only a skip away, so we all held
hands and skipped right over.
What’s the Veal Deal!!!
I thought the food was delicious and reasonably
priced at Carolina.
I ordered the Mozzarella en Carozza for an
appetizer and everyone tried and liked it.
Aside from CPA and Xena who had fish, we
went for the veal dishes with a side of pasta.
We finished off with come Cappuccino, coffee
and pastry, strolled back to our cars and set sail.

It really was a treat to dine with some
of the people that I’ve befriended on the Boomers Board.
Thanks for the good company. Maybe next
time, more people will be able to join us. I’ll look forward to it.
